My series on how to become a mystery shopper is one of my most popular posts. Mystery shopping is a great way to earn a little extra income. My favorite shops are at restaurants. I get a night out with the family for free and I make a little extra cash while I’m at it!
Mystery shopping is not difficult to do. It took a little organizing (which is why I wrote the mystery shopping organization post), but it isn’t tough. Start out with a big company that hosts many shops and then you can build up a resume you can use if you ever want to approach a single, favorite, store.
Right now Shadow Shopper has openings for new mystery shoppers. This is a great chance to get your foot in the door. Remember that you should never pay to get mystery shopping information and applying to Shadow Shopper is free (although they do have a $4.95 program that you can join later if you find that mystery shopping is working well for you).
They say you can make up to $150 a week and you could if you stay very busy! Most of the shops I completed paid between $5 and $40 along with free product. Don’t expect to make a ton, but it is fun and you get to shop for free. This is not a get rich quick scheme, but it is a way to make a little extra cash.
There is no obligation for signing up. Once you do sign up Shadow Shopper will start sending you information about mystery shops in your area.
