Great Ways to Find Discounts without Wasting your Time

Paying attention to sales and cutting coupons can easily reduce your grocery bills, but it also takes a lot of time and energy. Sure, we would all love to have the success of extreme couponers, but not all of us can dedicate our lives to cutting or printing coupons and to spending our entire Saturdays at the store.

However, saving money doesn’t have to be about sacrificing your time and energy. Learning to save money on your purchases can be a simple as making a few easy life style changes. So if cutting coupons isn’t your thing, consider doing some of the following to reap the rewards of discounts:

Shop Online

Many people don’t realize the amazing discounts that shopping online can truly provide. Clothing, books, school supplies, and household items can all be purchased online for generally 20 to 50 percent less than they would in-store, and while you may not experience the instant gratification of an in-store purchase, you will be able to experience gratification in knowing that you saved big time.

Take Surveys or Post Reviews

When you complete online surveys or reviews, most companies will provide you with cash, discounts, or free products. For 15 minutes of your time, completing paid surveys or reviews can provide you with laundry detergent, dish soap, and rewards to online stores such as Amazon.com or Nike so that you are able to avoid paying for little household necessities.

Switch Electricity Providers

An electricity provider that can actually save you money is a relatively new concept, but there are a few companies that are now starting to give back. With the ever-growing trend of going green, many electricity providers are beginning to invest in renewable energy sources such as wind and solar. To entice customers, they are offering incentives such as cash back, airline miles, and educational rewards simply for paying their utility bills on time.

Look for Free Resources

Utilizing free resources can be choosing the Library over buying a book on Amazon.com or choosing OpenOffice.org over paying for Microsoft Office. There are hundreds of free resources that provide individuals with the same great services for free. You just have to know where to look for them. Simply typing in “free resources” online will give you a list of thousands of items that will be handy on a day-to-day basis. You just need to know what is it you want, and then type it in.

Trying to secure discounts and rewards doesn’t need to be a tedious, all day task. There are dozens of small changes that you can make daily that will not only provide you with great products and services, but will also keep you from breaking the bank.
