The iPod Touch is just like the iPhone without the contract. I still use my regular cell phone to make calls, although I can text for free using the touch using the text app. The new iPod touch also has facetime, which allows you to make calls for free (over WiFi). I didn’t want to get into a $100/month contract, but $179 was doable for me.
I am so much better organized with my touch. I have an app called Home Routines that allows me to write to do lists and schedules the FlyLady way. If you haven’t been introduced to the fly ladies then click that link and take a look at that book! It is one I recommend purchasing, but you can also borrow it from the library.
I also have an app that allows me to track my Christmas gifts and budget, an app for Birthdays, and a finance app through Mint. It saves me money by saving paper (and time) on my to do lists, allowing me to track my budget and stock market, and it notifies me of groupons in my area.
Now I can make money with it using the new apperang service! You make $0.25 when you download free apps and will even make more than the cost of paid apps as well. The payout limit is only $1 so it is easy to get your check. Read about it on my post.
If you do not have an iPod touch then they are definitely worth looking at. If you do then try some of the apps that will save you money (and the service that will make you some).

Can you share with us more about your Ipod? Which one do you have and where did you purchase it for such a great price?
Sure Lisa 🙂 I bought it at the Apple store online in the refurbished section. The refurbished iPod's come with the same warranty as the new ones and they are a lot less! Right now the one I have (previous generation) is down to $149 there.
I have the generation before the one that just came out. Although, the one that just came out does have some great upgrades. That one isn't in the refurbished store yet so the cheapest I can find it is $223 at Amazon.
