I was recently sent a package of David’s Cookies Preformed Frozen Cookie Dough to review on the blog.
The cookie dough came well packaged. The cookies were shipped in a styrofoam container that contained dry ice so despite the warm weather, the cookie dough was in no danger of melting. My son was quite impressed by the “mailed refrigerator”.
I got the chocolate chip cookies and I must say they were delicious! I loved being able to pop a few cookies into the oven for an afternoon treat. It was easy for my three year old son to “help” me in making them.
Since they were already preformed I didn’t have the same mental battle against myself when it came to eating the dough raw. I know it is bad to eat the dough raw, but it is so tempting! I did not even think about it with these cookies since eating one raw meant one more that I didn’t get to eat cooked. I do not have that same one to one ratio in my head when it comes to the big tubs of dough.
The only downside to the cookies is the price. At $0.44 each they were a little expensive for cookies you have to bake yourself. But the ease of use was nice!
I hope you give them a shot. They also have cookie dough play dough that would be a lot of fun with older children (well older than my three year old at least). They can make the cookies with the colored dough and then you bake them!
