Budget and Coupon Update thru Aug 7th

Total Spent = $39.85

This was an amazing week.  I was able to stock up on breakfast cereal (12 boxes of Special K), 2 gallons of milk, 3 juices, bananas, radishes, carrots, celery, mushrooms, corn (not as much fruit as usual, but I think I will stock up on that at Costco next week), plus a few random items that were super cheap (like the ramen noodles – nobody said you had to use the unhealthy spices that come with it, I will be adding the noodles to homemade soups).

HyVee = $22.30

3 lb Bananas $2.07
Celery $0.97
2 lb Baby Carrots $1.48
Whole Mushrooms $0.77
4 Activia Yogurts (4 pack) $2 each ($8 back after I complete the Activia Challenge)
3 Pork Fillets $0.88 each
Barilla Pasta $0.88
Deja Blue Water (12 Pack) FREE
Cinnamon Applesauce $0.88
Hotdog Buns $0.99
Apple Cider $0.88
2 Old Orchard Juices $0.26 each
Starkist Tuna $0.39
One Subject Notebook $0.19
6 Crayola Crayons $0.19 each
10 Ramen Noodles $0.10 each
4 Butter Kernel Vegetables $0.59 each
3 Crystal Lite Fitness FREE
12 Kool Aid Packets $0.08 each
2 Deli Creations $1.25 each
1 lb Radishes $0.88

Tax was $1.87.  I saved $23.67 using store sales, $8.90 using manufacturer coupons, $8 using a rebate, and $9.87 using store coupons.

Price Chopper = $17.55

2 Gallons Milk = $1.75 each ($1.65 each after the sack refund)
2 BIC Pens (10 pack) = FREE
12 Special K Cereals = $0.86 each
3 Hamburger/Tuna Helpers = $0.63 each
6 Ears Sweet Corn = $1.08

Tax was $0.97.  I saved $11.00 using manufacturer coupons, $30.37 using sales, $7.78 using the B5G1F rewards card program, and $0.20 by using cloth bags.

By the way, those of you who are in the area of a Price Chopper can run this deal!  Get a coupon insert from Apple Market.  They have a coupon for $2 off milk when you buy 5 Kellogg’s cereals (the coupon is also good at Price Chopper).  Purchase 6 Special K for $23.34 and a milk for $3.75.  All Kellogg’s cereals are 50% off so $11.67 will be deducted at the end of your transaction.  The quarterly deal is B5G1F on all Special K so another $3.89 will be deducted for that.  Then use your $2 milk coupon and three $1/2 Special K printable coupons.  Your total will be $6.53 for 6 cereals and a gallon of milk.

This week I bought $139.64 in groceries/household supplies for $39.85.  That is a savings of 71%!!!
