Low CVS OOP Scenario (starting with $0 ECB’s and one set of coupons)

Not a bad week.  Lots of body wash!  For those of you who do not want to bother “rolling” ECB’s and keeping them for the next week (or those of you who are just starting out), here is what I would do:

Transaction #1 – 3 Gilette Body Wash.  Spend $4 and get an $8 ECB.

Transaction #2 – 3 Nivea Body Wash, 2 Sobe Lifewaters, and $1.02 on anything you want.  Spend nothing after using the previous ECB and get a $5 ECB back.

Transaction #3 – Spend $5 on anything you want (they have Kellogg’s cereal on sale for $1.66 this week).

You will end up getting 6 body washes and $6.02 in anything you want for $4.

Body wash makes a great add on gift or part of a gift basket for Christmas and birthdays!

I dont' really understand your scenarios. It doesn't explain which coupons you used to get the Gillette for $4 upfront, for example.

Hi Monique, you need to look at the post as well as the scenario. In the post I type out your cost and the coupons you need and then in the scenario I just point out what items you can buy to get your lowest cost/highest value.

Gilette Body Wash, limit 2
-$4 w/ $4 ECB
-B1G1F Gilette (5/2 PG)
-$4/2 Gilette (5/2 PG)
***Buy 3 Gilette for $4 and get an $8 ECB

So you buy 3 Gilette on sale for $4 with a $4 ECB (limit 2). Use the B1G1F coupon and the $4/2 coupon. Spend $4 and get an $8 ECB.

The first line (highlighted in blue) is the item. The second is the cost and any sort of reward that comes with it. If there are lines under that then it is showing the coupons available for the product. The final line (following ***) is how much you will spend and the reward you will get back for purchasing that item.

If it is the coupon description you are having problems with then read my Coupons 101 post and if it is CVS that you are having problems with then try the CVS tutorial. Both are listed in the drop menu at the top of the page under "tutorials".
