When it comes to the best choice in your daily cup of Joe, you don’t want to skimp on your coffee maker purchase! However, buying a home coffee maker doesn’t have to break the bank, so here are quick tips on what to look for in an affordable and durable coffee maker for home use:
- First off, what exactly are you looking for? If you want a regular drip brew coffee maker, you can find an affordable and long lasting choice for anywhere from $50-$100. However, as a cheap and delicious way to brew coffee, why not try a French Press at anywhere from $20-$50? This method uses hot water to press a fresh cup of coffee, and it is even more delicious than you can get from a drip brew coffee maker.
- Next, if you would like to freshly grind your coffee beans (which is recommended), then why not purchase a machine that has a built in grinder? This will save you money on purchasing two different machines, and it will also conveniently grind and brew for you.
- Last of all, why not purchase a commercial machine for home use? Bunn is one of the most popular commercial coffee makers, and their home machines run around $100. These machines can last for years and years on end, and they will also work to brew commercial quality coffee every time. A small investment for years of delicious Java is so worthwhile!

I always wait on the Gevalia coffee deals. It seems like once a year they run a deal on their coffee makers, where you can get it for about $10 or less with coffee! They wont last 20+ years, but most of mine have lasted well over 5. And, you get free coffee with it!
They do have some great deals! I think there is one running right now.
