Saving Money Using Cashbaq

NOTE – Cashbaq is no longer around!!! Everybody who was owed a check November of 2010 or later did not get their money.

Cashbaq is the third of the five sites I am going to explain as part of my Saving Money Using Refund Sites series.  The first site I reviewed was Ebates and the second was Mr. Rebates so feel free to check out those reviews as well!  Refund sites will save you LOTS of money when you combine them with sales and coupons.

Cashbaq is not as well known as Ebates or Mr. Rebates.  They carry fewer stores, but when they beat Ebates and Mr. Rebates it tends to be by quite a bit.  One of the things I really like about Cashbaq is that they will combine the rebates with coupons (just like the other sites), but they will also find great deals using these combos and publish them on their homepage.  They will also send you an email with updated deals if you choose to receive them.

YOUR REBATES – Just like almost every other rebate site your rebates will show up in your account about a week after your purchase.  These rebates range from 1-25% depending on the site you shop at.  If you use a coupon than that is taken off first and the rebate will come later.

BONUSES AND REFERRALS – You will again get $5 when you sign up (like the other sites).  When you refer other people you will not get an immediate bonus (like Ebates).  If a person you refer gets a rebate then you will get a bonus equivalent to 10% of the rebate they receive.  You will get that bonus every time the person you referred receives a rebate.  This is lower than Mr Rebates (they offer 20%), but Cashbaq has added tiers to the referral program.  When one of your referrals refers somebody who makes a rebate you will get a bonus equivalent of 5% of that.  When one of their referrals makes a rebate you will get a bonus equivalent of 2% of that.  Depending on how many people you can refer into the second and third tiers this will be pretty close to the Mr. Rebates referral program.

GETTING YOUR CHECKCashbaq sends out the checks or paypal every month.  You must have reached $10 (your own and your referral bonuses) in order to receive the check/paypal.  The money will show up at some point during the month (the date is usually around the 20th).  You do not have to request it, it will come automatically.

I have been using them for about a year and a half – not as long as my Ebates and Mr. Rebates accounts, but long enough to know they are a reliable site. They have sent me paypal at least 5 or 6 times now.

I am a member at cashbaq. I earned a check in Nov which I never received via USPS. I have submitted 6 tickets with their customer service and a phone message since 12/3. As of yet, I have neither heard back from them nor received the check.
To this point, I have concluded that
1) their customer service is non existent or is ignoring me.
2) stated cash payouts are irrelevant if they do not pay your earnings

That’s not good at all! I have received 7 checks from them so far. I’ve never had to contact customer service though.

Cashbaq did not send out the checks they owed customers in November 2010 (though they claimed they did, lairs) and will not respond to customer complaints. Drop these crooks like a rock!!!!

This is too bad! I have used them for years without a problem, but it looks like they have had problems since November. I’ll keep an eye on it, but I do not recommend them until they fix it (until then I will take them off my updated make money online posts).

Cashbaq not only has not sent money it owes to those who participated in good faith in their program, they are now disabling logins of those who ask questions and demand their money! …And yet the site is still up! These guys are CROOKS and SCAMMERS. Avoid this site like the PLAGUE!

Cashbaq has closed their website, claiming recession woes. They never paid me the money they owed me from last July. What a scam!
