Giveaway and Coupon with Skin MD Natural Lotion

When contacted about doing a review and giveaway of a Natural lotion by Skin MD, I have to admit, I was pretty excited.  I had developed PUPPS during this (and my last) pregnancy and some of it had creeped up onto my face.  For those of you who do not know, PUPPS is basically an allergic rash that is insanely itchy and there is nothing you can do about it.  You can treat the itch, but the rash just does not go away.  Well, it was all over the entire right cheek of my face.  You couldn’t see it yet, but you could feel it (think alligator skin) and I had to force myself not to itch as that would have made it very obvious.

The Skin MD website said that the lotion had treated Eczema, Psoriasis, and Thyroid issues so I had hope.  When I received my sample I happily tried it on my hands and face.

The shielding lotion is very light.  It goes on smooth and dries quickly.  My hands instantly felt more hydrated (hard to do since this was in the middle of the -20 degree temperature drop we had a week ago) and my face felt less tight.  It took about 5-6 days, but sure enough, the PUPPS rash on my face cleared up.  It also provided a great base for my mineral makeup!  There were not any dry lines (or rashes) on my face for the makeup to fall into so I looked healthier.  I used it for a week (AM and PM) before I made this review and it definitely became my favorite moisturizer.

Here is what the Skin MD website has to say about their product:

Skin MD Natural is made in the US and is specially formulated using high quality natural ingredients making it over 90% all natural with all ingredients being of food grade and on the FDA’s most safe list. It is free of harmful fragrances, parabens, and colorants making it hypoallergenic. We don’t participate in animal testing nor does the lotion contain any animal products.

A shielding lotion is unlike any other conventional, artificial moisturizers because it works with the skin to naturally moisturize and heal. Most conventional, artificial moisturizers only add moisture to the surface of the skin, but do little to repair the skin’s natural barrier against moisture robbing irritants. Skin MD Natural breaks the dry skin cycle by  working to help restore skin’s natural protective abilities by bonding to the outer layer of skin, strengthening  skins natural barrier against toxins and irritants that can dry the skin, while locking in the  skin’s natural oils.

I highly recommend trying this product!  If you would like to try it before you buy it then read how you can do that at this How to Get a Free Sample page.  When (and if) you want to purchase it use the special Little People Wealth code LPW to ge an additional 20% off your order.

I want to try it because it's a "shielding" lotion. Sounds like a product my poor hands need!

I like that it's made with natural products. My husband's skin gets so dry it cracks. His doctor recommended a lotion made with petroleum products – ick! We're looking for a more natural alternative.

It contains a humectant six times more powerful than glycerin – that sounds like it would work well on my poor skin suffering through these midwestern winters.

I couldn't find where to put my comment on SD's website, but there are several reasons I want to try this lotion! The first is b/c it's all natural, so therefore no animal testing, no fragrance, etc. Also, I think my dtr has a minor form of echzema and my hands are always dry in the winter!

I want to try the product since it'll hydrate skin without the slightest hint of any greasy or oily feeling or residue.
