Blind Man's Hunt and a Giveaway!

Here's another game for you from 175 Great Games! Leaving a comment on this post within the next 24 hours gets you an additional entry into the Great Games Giveaway. If you haven't completed the first entry then you can do that here.

This game is called Blind Man's Hunt and is one of the 175 Great Games in Matthew Toone's book.

# of Players = 4 or More

Objects Needed = Blindfold

One person is it and is blindfolded. The other players start near it. At "Go" it spins 5 times while everyone else runs in various directions. Once it has spun 5 times she yells "Freeze!" All the players who are running must stop where they are. The goal is for it to find and tag the other players while wearing the blindfold.

As it goes to find the other players, there re two ways to lacate them: touch or hearing. Before each round, everyone decides which one of the two it will do.

For touch: It will walk around blindfolded and try to find frozen players. If it touches a player he is out. Players who are frozen must remain where they stopped without moving their feet, but they can duck to avoid it.

For hearing: It walks around trying to find frozen players, but if it comes within 5 feet of a player, that player must make a noise and continue making that noise until it has left the 5 foot area. It must decide who is making the noise. If it is right then the player is out. If it is wrong then that player is safe and it must move to find somebody else (and can't go back until it finds and guesses a different player).

The last person found gets a point. The first player to score three points wins!
