My Shopping Week May 10th – May 16th!

After such a great week last week I didn’t need much food 🙂 I did hit the garage sales though and I got some great stuff and I only spent $2!

First I bought a cookie cookbook. Mmm. It is a small book, but there are 100 different cookie recipes in it. They all seem to be simple to do 🙂 It was $0.10!

The next sale was awesome. All of her clothes were only $0.10. Most of them were girls size 5/6, but there were a few boys items. I bought a swimsuit from The Children’s Place, shorts from Old Navy, a Reebok Jacket, and a Gap onsie. The onsie is size 6/12 month, but it was new with tags so I picked it up to add to my gift stash.

That same sale had a lawnmower that DS loves for only $0.75 🙂 They also had a leapfrog leapbook for $0.75 (it even has the batteries in it). It is in great condition and it gives DS something to work on other than my netbook, now he has his own!

I went to quite a few sales, but I only bought things at those two. It was a beautiful day outside so DS and I enjoyed the walk!

How did you do this week?

Thanks 🙂 Yeah, DS is so happy! He played with the lawnmower for hours and he keeps showing his dad the “laptop” 🙂

Great finds! I used to hit the garage sales when my firstborn was a baby. Need to start going again! Thank you for stopping by my place and entering the giveaways! Have several others going on right now – have not read the books yet but they seem promising, feel free to enter if you like. Getting ready to post a review of the Bobbi Brown book (another giveaway!), I really liked it.

Great finds. My kids have that same mower and it has always been a favorite. I need to hit some garage sales too.

We hit garage sales in KC this weekend, too. We spent more but came home with more, too. I’m not quite as patient as you are and there are no sales in JoCo with clothes for $0.10! Well done!

He does love that mower, he’s playing with it again! He needs to be taking his nap, LOL.

Everything on her clothes table was only a quarter – but then she gave me everything for $2 instead of $3 (I told her, but she said that she was just trying to get rid of everything) so it ended up coming out being a dime. I think maybe she had been doing the sale for a while and she was in a bad location (hard to stop).

I gave up going to garage sales in JoCo! Most of them were overpriced and the items were not necessarily in good condition (I seriously saw a beat up walmart bookshelf priced double what I paid for it in college at one).

I think Lee’s Summit is my favorite place to hit the sales. Great stuff, good prices. These ones were in Martin City I believe. That might actually be JoCo, oops! It was a subdivision sale I saw on my way home.
