Meet April from April’s Originals with a Giveaway!

When I was “window searching” for a new purse I came across an etsy crafter with absolutely beautiful purses, clutches, tissue holders, and more. I was so pleased when she said she would like to do a WAHM Wednesday here at Little People Wealth. I am happy to introduce you to April from Aprils Originals!

April has been sewing since she was 8! She used to make barbie clothes out of her mom’s fabric scraps. Since her mom didn’t want her to use the expensive machine she was able to learn by hand sewing and applying appliques on her jeans and shirts. Her first craft (other than sewing) was cross stitch.

The hardest thing for April is deciding what fabric to use! She said that there are so many beautiful fabrics that it is hard to decide what to do with them. The fabric is her inspiration. She envisions what it can become and then she makes it happen!

She started her business when her son was 2. She was on the hunt for the perfect diaperbag and couldn’t find it! Eventually she decided to make her own! When other mothers started asking her if she would make one for them she decided to start her business. She has since moved into many different types of bags, but she does not use a pattern! All of the bags are completely her own creation.
