Jenny was recommended to me by a reader and I am so glad she was! She has the most adorable crochet items (finger puppets, hats, and more). I was so excited when she said she wanted to do a WAHM Wednesday. These make the cutest items for Easter 🙂
Jenny said she started crocheting during her last pregnancy as a way to relax and eventually she started selling at Etsy. For those of you who are not familiar with Etsy, it is like an Amazon for homemade items. She said that her husband and each of her sons contribute in some way!
She said one of her favorite things about the shop is that it gives her money to do things she otherwise couldn’t. One of these things is giving money to charities. Jenny gives 10% of her profits to charity organizations. Right now she is giving to Kiva (an organization that allows you to loan money to entrepraneurs in impoverished countries – this was featured on Oprah!). After Easter she said she will go back to giving to Harlem Children’s Zone (a charity in Harlem using a holistic approach to bring about lasting change). She said, like most of us, money is tight so it is hard to give to charities, but the business allows her to 🙂
As for her shop – oh my goodness! Personally, I love finger puppets. What a great way to inject creativity in play! To get them from a mom instead of an overseas factory makes it even better! Jenny makes a tiger, horse, rooster (one of my favorites!), pig, dog, chicken, duck, lion (you should see his mane!), bunny, bear, and elephant on her etsy right now – and they are $2-$4 each!! Amazing easter gifts 🙂
While you are there be sure to check out the hats, toys, and room decorations! She makes beautiful striped hats along with an acorn, tomato, bumblebee, and watermelon (oh my goodness – if I only had a girl!) hat. Everything is $12 and less 🙂
Jenny has generously offered to hold a giveaway 🙂 She is going to be giving a set of 4 finger puppets (your choice of which ones) to the winner!

Easter tip:
Make homemade egg colors with food dye and vinegar.
Thanks for all the great comments! I don’t want to win my own puppets, but my Easter Tip is- buy your candy in the bulk section. Much cheaper and you don’t end up with tons of extra.

My Easter tip. To save money on Easter baskets make cute egg pinatas
with balloons and newspaper. Filled with some candy and trinkets and let the kids have fun trying to get to their treasure.
