It is the first Thrifty Tip Thursday and this tip is great for after the holidays!
Most stores mark their seasonal candy down 75% off after the holiday. Walgreens and CVS are also do this (so you can even use your ECB’s or wags card to get it for free!) Seasonal candy is often just the “regular” stuff in different color wrappers.
Most of us buy the candy when it goes on sale (some of us, like me, eat it all within the week…)! Teri has a better idea.
Candy freezes well. If you buy the candy while it is on sale and freeze it then it will last the entire year. Not only that, you can separate the candy into smaller bags (and mix/match it) so when you pull a bag out (for yourself or company) you aren’t tempted to down an entire bag of hershey’s kisses! You will end up with a serving size amount of many different candies for a fraction of the cost.
Thank you Teri for this wonderful Thrifty Thursday Tip! If you have a Thrifty Thursday Tip to share then email me at LittlePeopleWealth (at) GMail (dot) Com.

I do this every year! I use lots of frozen Hersheys kisses to make cookies. Just chop up any reduced price chocolate- cheap cookies! I also save all those red werapped ones for Valentines Day!
