First, they provide the bags (I knew that). I figured they would be about the size of a grocery bag – the picture I was sent (to the left) shows a bag with 12 shirts (they look to be an older girl size) and at least two of those shirts are sweaters.
So how big was the actual bag?…
It was about 1/3 the size of a grocery bag. I could fit 2 MAYBE 3 outfits for my son (18 mo size clothes). A sweater, forget it. Maternity clothes – if you stuffed it then maybe you could get one item in the bag, if they were T-shirts then maybe you could get two.
To make matters worse – you could only choose clothes out of the “gray bins”. So where were these elusive gray bins and what was in them!? Well, they were UNDER the clothes racks (so you were huddled on the floor around a tupperware box with fifteen other women. What was in them was the worst examples of their clothes.
Another of the fine details in this sale. You cannot use store credit. I had none to use anyway but for all of you who sell your clothes there so you can get money to buy new clothes – they don’t allow it at this sale. Cash only.
I walked out of there with nothing – it was a waste of time. I feel bad for the women who went all the way there, fought the crowd, and ended up paying $2.50-$5 for an outfit I wouldn’t pay a quarter for at a garage sale. Don’t bother mamas! There are better ways to save money on your kiddos clothes.
