This granola is soooo good! It isn’t super healthy, but for a snack I think it is pretty good. It is much healthier than the other snacks I grab for at least.
4 cups oats ($1.58)
4 tsp vanilla extract ($0.40)
1/3 cup flax seed ($0.36)
1/2 cup packed brown sugar ($0.26)
1/3 cup honey ($1.06)
1/8 tsp nutmeg ($0.01)
1/4 tsp salt ($0.01)
1/4 tsp cinnamon ($0.01)
4 Tbs butter($0.31)
Combine the dry ingredients in a bowl. Melt the butter in a saucepan and then add the honey. Remove the pan from heat and quickly add the vanilla extract. Coat the dry ingredients evenly. Put on a covered cookie pan and bake at 300 for 20 minutes.
A serving size is a half cup and the % daily values are for adults.
