Costco August 7th

So DH came home and said he “blew my grocery budget” LOL. He didn’t do too bad though. He stopped by Costco and Nature’s Pantry. Here is what he got at Costco:

Organic spinach $3.79
2 gallons Vitamin D milk $6.18
4 quarts Tropicana orange juice $10.69

Since I don’t use coupons at Costco I usually compare it to the regular grocery store to get my savings. Hyvee (the grocery store I usually use) sells Tropicana for $3 and whole milk for $4.18, and organic spinach is $5.10. So he spent $21.84 and got $25.46 in groceries.

I must say – I’ve got to hand it to DH not to splurge more. He usually just buys whatever he feels like getting at the grocery store. I told him to pick up orange juice and milk and he warned me that he might go to Nature’s pantry as well. A grocery trip under $40 for him is pretty good (although I guess it is over $40 with the two stores!)
