OOP: Earned $7.53
We needed batteries for DS’s toys and it was perfect timing with walgreens RR sale! I compared the prices to Costco and I got a better deal at walgreens (plus I could use my card to get them free) so we made a stop. There was a mess up with the register – but it definitely worked to my advantage. Here is what I got:
2 Packages of 16 (32 total) of Duracell AA batteries, $8.99 each
2 Packages of 8 (16 total) of Duracell C batteries, $8.99 each
=$38.64
I used one $0.75 coupon (SS 06/29)
I will get $12 + 10% ($13.20) back in a walgreens rebate
I paid for this using my walgreens gift card.
I was supposed to get a $7 RR for this transaction. It didn’t pop out so the manager refunded me CASH. Since I always count my OOP as what I spend in cash and I got cash back, that means I earned $7.53 on this transaction (he also refunded the tax).
I did notice that my gift card is finally getting low. I have $17.81 left on it, a $6.50 RR, and a $10 ship separate gift card coming in the mail. Hopefully this will get me through the month or I will have some OOP for walgreens coming up!
