Okay, so from what I understand the challenge is to use $5 and 3 transactions to make as many ECB’s as possible for a newbie. While trying to make it easy to understand! My second and third transactions will only work on Monday. I’ll try to update with a few other ones later 🙂 I came up with three transactions that leaves you with $21.98 for the next week.
Transaction #1:
2 Coppertone chapsticks @ $1.99 each
=$3.98
Get $10 ECB back
Transaction #2
CVS Shave Gel $2.59
– $2 CVS skincare coupon (no longer available)
2 CVS bandages $3.98
2 Listerine Smart Rinse $6.98
-(2) $1 printable coupons
-CVS Cotton Swabs (600 count) $3.19
-$3/$10 in CVS products (CRT – you should get this when you go into the store, it prints out at the coupon machines or it may print out with your first receipt – this is a common coupon)
$0.56 item (candy, clearance, your choice)
=$10 – use your ECB’s from your first transaction
Get $1, $2, $3.98, and $6.98 ECB’s ($13.96 total)
Transaction #3
4 Brut Deoderant $10.76
-$1 coupon (SS 04/06)
Physicians Mascara $7.99
– $1 coupon (SS 06/01)
CVS Bandages $1.99
$4/$20 CVS coupon (you get this when you sign up online)
Use all the ECB’s from the previous transaction
=$0.78 OOP
Get $12, $7.99, and $1.99 ECB’s
So you spend $4.76 ($3.98 in the first transaction, $0.78 in the last) and you will end up with $21.98 in ECB’s and all those goodies!) That should be enough to continue rolling with a < $1 OOP after this week.
Have Fun!!

Chapstick? Wow, that is a new one for me! Very cool, thanks so much for participating. Your scenarios are just perfect for the newbies.
Hope to see you back next week!
