Total $0.59 (the store actually owed me $0.03 so I had to throw in the dove bar)

I received $8, $20, $3.49, $6.99, and $2 ECB’s back to use next week

I’m pretty happy about this week, especially since I only had one $3/$15 coupon this time. I have been getting free milk for three weeks now and I decided to throw in free bread this time. I did “lose” $4.50 in ECB’s, but the OOP is what counts and there have been many weeks where I gain at least that much. I would have done better, but my card was scanned after the first item so I couldn’t price check until after the receipt printed out (if your card is scanned first then everything rings up at the sale price, if it is scanned after anything else then the sale prices come off in the end). My CVS had the gel total advanced marked at $2.49 (not $2.99 like it rang up), and the newspaper should have rang up at $1.25, not $1.50. I also left a $1 soyjoy coupon at home. All in all that would have been $3.25 plus tax less.

I try to remember that everything is free even on weeks that it doesn’t ring up correctly or I grab the wrong item. If I catch it there then I fix it at the moment, if I see something major is amiss (like missing ECB’s) then I will email corporate, but if I notice something like this then I don’t bother – it isn’t worth it. This game isn’t supposed to be stressful at all and I am not the type of person who enjoys arguing with people (or spending time while they go and price check something). The OOP is what is important – there are TONS of opportunities to grow your ECB’s and I am happy with my stash of around $60!

Oh, and there has been a lot of talk about the Soy Joy’s. Personally I LOVE them! Well, the strawberry one that I tried when walgreens had it free last week 🙂 I got 8 strawberry, 8 berry (that also look pretty good), 3 raisin (I am not a raisin fan but I’ll try it and I can give it to DH if I don’t like it), and 1 mango. The mango sounds great, but it also has coconut, which I don’t like 🙁

That is great! But I have to say that I don’t love the Soy Joy. I am saving them to eat for when we have some kind of Nuclear Holocaust and they are the only things that we can eat.

LOL – they would make good nuclear holocaust food too. I bet the taste pretty good at that moment (and probably stay “good” for a long time)!
