Here is what I had for my NEWBORN stash:

12 Nanipoo fitteds $76.50
3 Diaper baby velour fitteds $21
1 Happy Heiny (pocket) $7
12 preemie prefolds $10
3 gerber covers $3
3 WAHM fleece covers $12
1 loveybums fleece cover $12
1 little lions fitted $5
14 magicalls (AIO’s) $70
1 little loves (stuffable AIO) $5
3 bamboo doublers $9

Total = $220.50

Sold for $248

DS was 8 lbs 5 oz at birth and these fit until 6 weeks. I could have gone to smalls earlier, but I liked the trim look of the newborn dipes. If you are looking to save more money then skip the nb stage or just do the prefolds.

My top pick was the nanipoo fitteds. They were amazing. Velour inners and cute as a button. I liked to pair them with the loveybums cover or a pair of longies. I liked the WAHM fleece covers as well, but they were bulky. My top pick for leaving the house was the magicalls. Super easy! They were DH’s fav. The prefolds were used as back-ups only, but worked great with a bamboo doubler. I did not use pins for the prefolds – just folded them under the cover. The gerber cover was only used a few times. It worked, it just has a “plasticky” feel. The little loves was a great show off dipe (giraffe print minkee) but it didn’t work as well as the others. The diaper babies were amazing, but too small for our little chunk. They only lasted a couple of weeks. I would definitely recommend them for a preemie. I really disliked the happy heiny, it just didn’t work for us and the little lions was HUGE.

If I could do it over I would have 16 nanipoos, 16 magicalls, 3 loveybum covers, 12 prefolds, and 3 bamboo doublers.
